Beauty-make-up-hickey-THS
There are moments when you get a little naughty and those love bites leave behind blue, purple marks on your skin. A hickey takes time to fade away. Worry not, here are some make-up tips to help you keep your night of passion discreet. Here are 6 ways to get rid of a hickey fast.
  • Wash the area where the hickey is and then apply a light moisturiser. Take a small amount of primer on your hands and conceal the area with it.
  • Cover the hickey with a foundation that is a little lighter than your skin tone. The lighter shade of foundation will make the skin look even and just not an attempt to hide the hickey. You can also dust some foundation powder on the hickey to give it an even skin tone look. Also, follow these expert make-up tips to put your best face forward.
  • You can also apply the same foundation as you use on your face to cover up the hickey. Blend the foundation into the surrounding area to prevent lines of demarcation on your neck (or wherever the hickey is).
  • Use a concealer to hide the love bite. Opt for a green-tinted concealer as it can counterbalance the red tone of the hickey. When the area starts to heal, you may notice a green or yellow cast. Opt for a concealer with pinkish undertone in that case. Then as a finishing touch, use a light dusting of powder.
If all end fails, you can always go the route of wearing a scarf or a turtleneck to cover the love bite. In fact, if the hickey comes into notice, you can just make up a story and say that you had an accidental run-in with your hair straightening iron. It may just work!
